la Chapelle-Villars se situe sur la commune de la Chapelle Villars sur le versant Rhodanien du parc r\u00e9gional du Pilat\u00a0avec une vue panoramique sur la chaine des Alpes.<\/p>\n<p>A l&rsquo;origine, se trouvait \u00e0 la place du ch\u00e2teau un manoir qui appartenait aux chevaliers de Chuyer. Ce manoir, ruin\u00e9 \u00e0 la fin du XV si\u00e8cle, a \u00e9t\u00e9 repris par la famille de Villars avec le projet de le transformer en ch\u00e2teau pour en faire un lieu de vill\u00e9giature et de retrait. C\u2019est au XVl si\u00e8cle qu\u2019Henri lll a donn\u00e9 l\u2019autorisation de construire sur la base du manoir un Ch\u00e2teau avec notamment quatre tours et un pont levis.<\/p>\n<p>Le ch\u00e2teau s\u2019organise selon un plan quadrangulaire autour de deux cours. Aux quatre angles s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8vent des tours rondes, sans valeur d\u00e9fensive. Autour de la cour basse sont \u00e9tablis les b\u00e2timents li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019exploitation agricole (grange, fenils, celliers, annexes,&#8230;). Un escalier double rampe en fer \u00e0 cheval permet d\u2019acc\u00e9der \u00e0 la terrasse haute autour de laquelle s\u2019organisent les b\u00e2timents principaux servant de r\u00e9sidence. Deux acc\u00e8s sont possibles : l\u2019un \u00e0 l\u2019Est, faisant face \u00e0 une grande terrasse dont le point de vue s\u2019\u00e9tend sur toute la vall\u00e9e, jusqu\u2019aux Alpes.
